Town of Blythewood Notice of Special Election

A Special Election for the Town of Blythewood will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Any person wishing to register to vote in this election must do so no later than January 11, 2020. The following office shall be included in this election:  One council seat (2 year unexpired term.

 Citizens desiring to be a candidate for the above listed office may file at Town Hall, 171 Langford Road, Blythewood. Candidates should be qualified, registered voters within the town limits of Blythewood. Filing opens December 6, 2019 Noon and remains open during regular business hours until December 16, 2019 Noon. The filing fee for council is $5. Contact the town clerk with filing questions 754-0501.

At 9 a.m. on Election Day, the absentee poll managers will begin examining the absentee ballot return envelopes at the Elections and Voter Registration office, 2020 Hampton Street, Columbia.

On Thursday, February 13, 2020 9:00 a.m.at 2020 Hampton Street, Columbia, the Richland County Board of Elections and Voter Registration will hold a hearing to determine the validity of ballots challenged in this election.
